In this video (Part 1) we show the simpler way of understanding expansion and compression in terms of work. We discuss that expanding systems do work onto the atmosphere and that compressing systems cause some atmospheric gases to change their potential energy into kinetic. Also discuss why it is illogical to express work in terms of the expanding system. And alot more. Link to video is to the right

Sommerfield quote:"Thermodynamics is a funny subject. The first time you go through it, you don't understand it at all. The second time you go through it, you think you understand it, except for one or two small points. The third time you go through it, you know you don't understand it, but by that time you are so used to it, so it doesn't bother you any more."
In this video (Part 2) we discuss why what was discussed in the first video (Part 1) now means that we must question entropy as well as the first law. Link to video is to the right
Latent heat and its probability. Herein we question the sanity of using Boltzmann's exponential for the basis of a the probability of vaporization. We also provide a new improved understanding. In part based upon my 2013 paper (see My papers)  and rewritten with more clarity in my books  (See My Books)
Global Warming a rethink. Herein we not only question the sanity of current global warming models but we also show that global warming requires a rethink based upon the fact that the atmosphere as a whole acts as thermal blanket.
Avogadros limitations. Herein the limitations of Avogadros hypothesis are discussed

Boiling and lost work. The concept of lost work is explained in terms of the boiling process
Rethinking the Gibb-Durheim relation. Herein the Gibbs free energy relation is obtained from first principles thus bypassing the problematic differential shuffle hypothesis.
Differential shuffle. Herein the insanity of the traditional differential shuffle is considered
Rethinking CO2 formation. An alternative virew concerning the eneergetics of CO2 formation is presented
